RPLIDAR is a new generation and affordable 360-degree 2D laser scanner (LIDAR) solution developed by SLAMTEC. It has the ability to take 8000 samples per second with a high rotation speed. It can perform 360-degree scanning with a range of 6 meters. Thanks to SLAMTEC's patented OPTMAG technology, it surpasses the lifespan and stability of traditional LIDAR systems.
The typical scanning speed of RPLIDAR can be adjusted between 2-10Hz by changing the PWM signal sent to the motor by the user.
