Teensy 4.0
Teensy 4.0, today the fastest microcontroller available, features a 600 MHz ARM Cortex-M7 processor with the NXP iMXRT1062 chip. Teensy 4.0 is the same size and shape as Teensy 3.2 and maintains compatibility with most of the pin functions from Teensy 3.2.
Operating at 600 MHz, Teensy 4.0 consumes approximately 100mA of current. Teensy 4.0 provides support for dynamic clock scaling. Unlike traditional microcontrollers where changing the clock speed can lead to incorrect baud rates and other issues, the hardware of Teensy 4.0 and the software support of Teensyduino for Arduino timing functions are designed to allow dynamic speed changes. Serial baud rates, audio streaming sample rates, and Arduino functions like delay() and millis(), as well as extensions like IntervalTimer and elapsedMillis from Teensyduino, continue to work smoothly while changing CPU speeds.
