Capacitive Soil Moisture Sensor – Hygrometer
New type capacitive soil moisture sensor - hygrometer! This capacitive soil moisture sensor is different from most resistance sensors on the market and uses the capacitive detection principle to detect soil moisture. It eliminates the problem of wear and tear of resistance sensors and extends its lifespan.
The sensor supports a wide voltage operating environment of 3.3 ~ 5.5V, meaning it can work properly even on a 3.3V Arduino main board, thanks to its built-in voltage regulator chip. A miniature computer like Raspberry Pi only requires an ADC (analog signal for digital signal) conversion module to operate.
