TCRT5000 Infrared Line Tracking Sensor is a sensor commonly used in robotic projects. This module includes a TCRT5000 infrared sensor pair and has 3 independent tracking channels. Each channel can track lines by detecting the contrast between black and white surfaces.

Infrared sensors detect the amount of light reflected or absorbed in the environment, thus being able to detect color changes on surfaces. The TCRT5000 module performs best when working with reflective surfaces. It is particularly preferred in applications such as line-following robots, autonomous mobile robots, or automatic navigation systems used in mazes.

This module can be easily integrated into a microcontroller or development boards like Arduino and provides line tracking data through digital or analog outputs.
